The document apostilling service is now available on EVO application. The process of obtaining the apostille takes between three and five working days and the apostilled documents will also be available through EVO or MCabinet. This option, according to the Ministry of Justice, facilitates access to the apostille directly from the mobile phone, IPN reports.
To use the service, the person must have EVO installed on the mobile phone. The category “Public services” must be accessed, then “Justice and law enforcement” and “Application of the apostille on official documents”. The first step in the process is to submit the application and the necessary documents for apostilling. This can be done online with an electronic, mobile or EVOSign signature.
The apostilling application can be submitted at any time, and the option of online interaction with the authorities saves the applicant’s time, eliminating bureaucracy and queues at counters.
If the person does not have an electronic signature, the set of documents must be submitted to the Legal Information Resources Agency. To submit the apostilling application at the counter, an appointment should be made through apostilare.gov.md.
The apostille is a form of legalization of documents for citizens who want to present these abroad. It is applied exclusively on official documents issued on the territory of the Republic of Moldova and produces legal effects in the states that are parties to the Convention.
