Arguments over Termocom reorganization end Chisinau Council meeting
The Liberal Party's group today walked out of the Chisinau Municipal Council's meetings over arguments regarding the reorganization of the heat and hot water utility Termocom , Info-Prim Neo reports.
With the vote of Communists councilors, the issue was put on the agenda in a different formulation than the initial one. Communist councilor Victor Gurau proposed that the issue was named “Regarding the concept of corporate, institutional and financial reorganization of the centralized heating system in Chisinau Municipality Termocom in the procedure of the CET-1 and CET-2 plan”.
The Liberals insisted on the government’s formulation: “Regarding the corporate, institutional and financial restructuring of centralized heating system in Chisinau Municipality”. “We are we trying to invent the wheel when we already have the government decision. Our proposal is to stick to what’s written in the decision. What is the meaning of these word games?”, declared the leader of the PL group Ion Gabura.
Without reaching an agreement, the Liberals left the meeting. Shortly after, the Communists followed.
The Chisinau Municipal Council was to examine about 50 issues, including tens of proposed pieces of municipal legislation. The date of the next meeting wasn’t announced.
