Arrest warrant against mayor of Straseni extended for 30 days
The mayor of Straseni town will remain under arrest for 30 more days. Constantin Priguza is accused of taking €4,000 from a company for accepting the works performed by it for the mayor’s office.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the mayor is held at the remand division of the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The arrest warrant was extended by the Buiucani district court on February 11. Constantin Priguza was arrested on January 24. If he is found guilty of passive corruption, he will serve up to 10 years in jail and will be fined up to 60,000 lei.
