Arrest warrants against two suspects in Caravita case extended

The Buiucani Court extended the arrest warrants against two of the suspects investigated for money laundering that resulted in significant damage caused to Banca de Economii. On August 13, the Court will take a decision about another two suspects in the same case, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the National Anticorruption Center.

The Court decided to extend the arrest warrant against one of the managers of Caravita Vladimir Rusu by 30 days and the warrant against the company’s financial director Tatiana Rosioru by 25 days. The court decisions concerning the company’s owner Ion Rusu and another manager Igor Cijov will become known on August 13.

The four persons were arrested last month within a case concerning the frauds committed at Banca de Economii. They face up to ten years in jail for money laundering.
