Artists to voice for observing human rights
Amnesty International (AI) launches “The Tour of Small Places - 2008” in Moldova – a world music project promoting the human rights, Info-Prim Neo reports.
AI Moldova's executive manager, Evghenii Golosceapov, Friday told a news conference the event marked 60 years since adopting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“We celebrate, together, the progress in the human rights area, which made a better life for people from the entire world,” he said, adding Moldova was the 55th country to join “The Tour of Small Places”.
Amnesty International pursues to get involved artists to promote the human rights, and to collect funds for its campaigns.
The artists don't have to renounce their planned concerts for the sake of the concerts of the AI. They only have to voice to observe the human rights when they get on the stage.
The concerts organized by the AI will take place in Moldova on December 5, 6 and 12.
