During the first three years of implementation, the Moldova – EU Association Agreement was 73% carried out. The legislation adjustment rate stands at 34%. The figures were presented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Daniela Morari in public hearings staged by the Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration, IPN reports.

In the first half of this year, 68% of the projected measures were implemented. The rate is lower than expected, but many of the actions were planned for the last two months of the year.

Daniela Morari said a new Association Agenda has been negotiated this year. This is the political document that defines the priorities of the Association Agreement for the next three years. The updating of the national plan for implementing the Association Agreement for adjusting it to the new Association Agenda and the changes that occurred with the reformation of the Government is to start in the course of this month.

The Association Agreement with the EU was signed in June 2014 and provisionally took effect in September 2014. It started to be fully applied in July 2016.
