Authorities pledge not to cut funding for social services
The social services will be further provided in full amount even if there is a crisis. The statement was made by the outgoing Deputy Minister of Social Protection Family and Child Viorica Dumbraveanu at a news conference dedicated to the Family Festival, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The social services are an additional support to the children whose parents went abroad and to the elderly people. We will not reduce the funds used to provide food and medications to the persons that are under the tutelage of the Ministry’s institutions. Even if there is a crisis, they will suffer no changes,” Viorica Dumbraveanu said.
The deputy minister also said that the activities that are not funded from the state budget will be financed from the resources provided by social partners, including the United Nations Population Fund and other organizations.
