The process of issuing and extending licenses when the e-licensing system is fully or partially inoperable or attempts are made to tendentiously manipulate this by introducing mistaken information will be stopped immediately. A bill to this effect was passed by Parliament in the first reading on November 17, IPN reports.
One of the bill authors Sergiu Sarbu said the e-licensing service is one of the first electronic services provided for the public. This considerably simplified the process of obtaining licenses. About 90% of the applications are processed through this. Within inspections carried out by the Financial Inspectorate, there were identified multiple violations of the operational process by officials of the Licensing Chamber, including unauthorized operations to approve applications for obtaining or having licenses renewed by manipulating the e-licensing system.
The Democratic MP noted that the accessing of the e-licensing system and introduction of incorrect information about the issuing or extending of licenses leads to the approval of the relevant applications in an emergency regime and with violations of the regulations.
According to the authors, the law will contribute to preventing the manipulation of the e-licensing system and will consolidate the legality of the decisions taken by the administration of the Licensing Chamber.
