Minister of Education Corina Fusu handed over the state awards conferred earlier by President Nicolae Timofti to a number of teachers for long and prodigious work in education, contribution to improving the education process and intense methodological and teaching work, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Ministry.
The medal “Civic Merit” was given to Anna Durlesteanu, a teacher of the Theoretical Lyceum “Hyperion” based in Durlesti town. The teacher said the state award is an acknowledgement of the work done during 50 years. “We must continue work to achieve better results. I’m permanently in search to conquer new peaks,” she stated.
The honorific title “Emeritus person” was conferred on Elizaveta Vangheli, a retired teacher from Tabani village of Briceni district. The award was collected by her daughter-in-law. Anastasia Vangheli said the honorific title “Emeritus person” represents recognition of the huge teaching work done by Elizaveta Vangheli. “I think the work done with dedication is always appreciated,” she stated.
