The 2011 Baccalaureate exam failure rate is 10%. In a news conference on July 18, Minister of Education Mihail Shleahtitski said that about 3,000 students got negative grades and this figure is twice larger compared with last year, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the minister, there are 78 students who got only grades of ‘10’, three times fewer than last year. Most of these students are from Chisinau, Balti, Edinet, Briceni, and Soroca.
As many as 5,083 students or 3.27% of the total got grades of “10”. The average grade per country is 6.66. The highest average Baccalaureate grades were recorded in Balti – 7.66, Briceni district – 7.56, and Sangerei – 7.53. Chisinau comes the 13th.
The highest average grade was recorded on the chemistry, English, biology, German, history and physics exams. The lowest average grade was reported on the exam in the Romanian language and literature for other language speakers.
A number of 30,623 students took Baccalaurean exams this year.
