A woman employee of a bank situated in Buiucani district of Chisinau was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison for stealing over 300,000 lei from the bank. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the case happened in May 2012. The woman was arrested the next day after the commission of the offense, in the house of a friend of hers. The police found the stolen money.
