The barrage in Barboieni village of Nisporeni district has burst this morning at 6am and the water moves towards villagers' houses. Mayor of Barboieni Valeriu Protopop has told Info-Prim Neo that three of the houses have been flooded and ten more are in danger of being inundated. Protection measures are being taken. The people started to be evacuated to the local school. “The barrage cracked yesterday evening, but we managed to fix it with the help of the residents. This morning it burst and the water reached the village,” said the head of Nisporeni district Ion Munteanu. Villager Maria told the Agency's reporter the floodwater swallowed her garden and is close to the house.
