A 33 year old man has filled a complaint to the police for being beaten with bottles in the head by a few younger men, who stole his cell phone and 2500 lei. The incident occurred on the Sarmizegetusa Street in the Botanica sector, on October 12. Adrian Jovmir, head of the General Police Commissariat press service, told Info-Prim Neo that robbers had been identified. The main suspect, aged 24, is from Chisinau. After being retained, he admitted that, together with a few friends, robbed the man and shared the money. Prosecution was started based on art.187 “Robbery” of the Penal Code, which stipulates a minimum sentence of 3 years.
