Starting with June 1, 2015, the monthly state financial support will be distributed by payment service providers. The amendments, aimed at simplifying the payment procedure, are contained in a law that was published in the Official Gazette on June 5. The other types of welfare – pensions, allowances, death and unemployment benefit – will continue to be paid through posts offices and the branches of Banca de Economii, until the recipients designate another institution, IPN reports.
In a communique, the National House of Social Insurance says the law provides that the recipients of pensions, social assistance and cold-month allowances will be able by themselves to choose the payment service provider from which to collect the money. Those who want to be served by banks can file an application to indicate the bank selected from the list that will be made public by the house. The application, copy of the card or of the bank account will be presented to the local branch of the National House of Social Insurance.
If the persons will not file an application to indicate the institution that they want to pay them the social welfare, the given money will be distributed by the same institution as earlier, until the recipient chooses another institution and submits a relevant application.
