The body of a man was found about 300 meters from the Moldovan-Ukrainian border line. This was a 27-year-old Ukrainian citizen, IPN reports.

“On July 13, the head of the Ocnita Border Police Sector alerted the 112 service, following information received from a compatriot who was carrying out agricultural works in the Klokushna-Sokireany direction. The investigations on the spot showed that the body of the man was found about 300 meters from the border line with Ukraine, in a wheat field. Due to the high temperatures, this was in a state of putrefaction,” the Border Police said.

There were no traces of violent death or bullet wounds on the body. A medical examination was ordered to establish the causes of death. Following the examination of the Information System of the Border Police, it was found that the person did not enter the territory of the Republic of Moldova legally. Investigations into this case continue, the Border Police said.
