Bologan draws first chess game of third round
Moldova’s famous chess player Viorel Bologan tied Friday with Viktor Laznicka from the Czech Republic in the first game of the third round of the World Chess Cup held in the Russian town Khanty-Mansiisk, Info-Prim Neo reports.
If the second game on Saturday ends also in a draw, the winner will be decided in the run-off.
In the first round, Bologan defeated Egypt’s Ahmed Adly, while in the second round – Bulgaria’s Ivan Cheparinov.
The World Cup brought together 128 chess players from 40 countries.
