Update /12:45pm/ Following searches at the Buiucani branch of the Chisinau City Court, the bomb squad didn’t find any explosive device. Criminal proceedings were instituted over intentional misinformation about an act of terrorism.

(Initial news item) A man called the 112 Service this morning and said that there is an explosive device inside the Buiucani branch of the Chisinau City Court situated on Ștefan cel Mare Blvd. The area was fenced and all the employees and visitors were evacuated from the building, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau Police Division, all the specialized services are searching the building to find the explosive device.

The police are taking measures to identify the caller who faces a fine of 27,500 to 42 500 de lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service and a maximum jail term of two years if this is a hoax.
