The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) has issued four new licenses for using radio frequencies to Radio Plai, Radio Noroc, Radio Albena and Radio Cultura Divina. As a result, the radio stations could extend the broadcast range in Moldova.
Five broadcasters applied for the four frequencies. The fifth was Univers FM, IPN reports.
Radio Noroc asked for a license for using a frequency in Calarasi district given that it already covers the neighboring districts. Radio Albena based in Ceadir-Lunga applied for a license for extending the broadcast range in Tvardita. Radio Cultura Divina, which broadcasts only in Cioresti village of Nisporeni district, asked for a frequency for the whole Nisporeni district, while Radio Plai wanted a frequency to broadcast in Leova district.
