The salaries of budget-funded employees with low pays will be increased by 8.5% on average from this month, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a Government Decision. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga said over 107,000 employees working in cultural, medical, sanitary, social assistance, sport, science and innovation institutions will get higher pays. The salaries of about 20,000 servicemen and employees of national defense, security and public order bodies will also be raised. The pays will increase by 30 to 100 lei, depending on the salary grades. A sum of 98 million lei was earmarked in the state budget for the purpose. The salaries of teachers will be increased by 12% from September 1, while of public servants – from October 1.
