Budget-funded employees work on Jan. 26
Saturday, January 26, is a workday for budget-funded employees. They will work instead of December 25, which was declared nonworking day by Government Decision. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, press officer of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family Elena Capatana said that the work program on January 26 will be an ordinary one, of 8 hours.
Elena Capatana also said that the Ministry approved the legislative initiative of an MP to declare December 25 a public holiday, but Parliament hasn’t yet taken a relevant decision.
During the winter holidays, the budget-funded employees benefited from five nonworking days: December 31 (for which they worked on December 22), December 25 (for which they will work on January 26), and January 1, 7, and 8, which are official holidays.
