A Bulgarian Culture and Information Center was opened Saturday in Moldova's autonomous region of Gagauzia in order to serve as a connection with the historic Bulgarian minority there. The Bulgarian National Television is quoted by Info-Prim Neo as reporting there are over 100,000 ethnic Bulgarians in Moldova. The first cultural center of the Bulgarian community in Gagauzia will offer courses in literary Bulgarian, information about the education opportunities in Bulgaria, and information about the present development of the country.
