A bureau for promoting the national cultural values will be created within the Writers Union of Moldova. It will consist of people of culture, writers and artists who will travel through the country’s settlements to promote the national culture, traditions and values. The issue was discussed in a meeting of Prime Minister Chiril Gaburic and representatives of the Writers Union.
According to the Government’s press service, Chiril Gaburic underlined the opportunity of strengthening national unity, which is one of his top priorities as Prime Minister. “I want to believe that in these very difficult moments for the country, you, the writers, will assume also a social role with great responsibilities, besides writing,” he stated.
President of the Writers Union Arcadie Suceveanu promised the Union will join in the Premier’s initiatives and will contribute to strengthening national unity, underlining that the writers’ language has an uncontestable communication power.
