Two persons with balaclavas on their heads stole money and golden jewels from a house in Chisinau last night, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the General Police Inspectorate.

According to the communiqué, the Centru Police Inspectorate was informed about the burglary at about 2am. The police officers who went to the scene established that the burglars forced the window. They managed to steal money, golden jewels and a mobile phone.

The victims said one of the thieves had a knife. An investigation is under way to identify the culprits.
