The administrator of a Chisinau homebuilding company is accused of swindling 32 persons out of about 16 million lei.

The man started his business in 2007 and sold through it apartments located in two buildings in Ciocana district of Chisinau until 2014. The prosecutors established that the culprit sold apartments that were already sold once and even apartments situated at inexistent addresses and in a block for whose construction he didn’t have the necessary documents.

The case was submitted to the Centru court. The man aged 56 is under arrest. He is accused of swindle and appropriation and faces 8 to 15 years in jail on each of the counts. The court will also take a decision as regards the awarding of damages to victims.
