The Association for Recycling Electric and Electronic Equipment Waste MoldRec resumes the ecological campaign “ECO Companies”. The action targets state and private companies, offering them to get rid of electronic waste for free, IPN reports..

MoldRec announced that it hopes to involve both state institutions and private companies in order to harness eco-rationally the resources contained in electric and electronic waste.

“After the previous campaign, we were pleasantly surprised to receive numerous requests from state and private companies to participate in our action. Then, we didn't manage to collect all the waste from the registered organizations because it was a one-month project, which wasn't enough to satisfy all the requests”, said Iulian Gamureac, head of MoldRec. “That's why we decided to resume the campaign, this time for a longer period. Thus, all organizations that want to join our ecological action will have enough time to perform the disposal procedures for old equipment and contribute to improving the quality of life through a clean and healthy environment”, he added.

MoldRec's campaign offers to dispose free of charge of electric and electronic waste from companies and institutions from the private and public sectors in the Chisinau Municipality. It includes the preparation of all legal papers attesting the fact that by participating in the campaign, the organizations have fulfilled their moral and legal obligations for keeping a clean environment.

The participation procedure is simple: the companies or institutions must request the evacuation of electronic waste either online at www.moldrec.md/corporatii-eco or by calling 060 121 112. MoldRec representatives should respond within 48 hours and establish the possibility and details for the waste collection.

MoldRec was founded in early 2013 as a non-profit and contributed to the collection of over 60 tonnes of electronic waste.
