Car worth €140,000 set on fire in central Chisinau
A luxury car became the target of an arson attack while the owner was in a bar nearby.
Sergiu Chircu, of the Rescuers and Firefighters Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the Porsche-Cayenne worth €140,000 was set on fire on Vasile Alecsandri St.
When the owner of the car, a 23-year-old man, came out, he saw that the front part of the car was in flames. The firefighters managed to extinguish the fire quickly. The police are investigating the case.
The same day, a fire broke out in a classroom of the Drochia-based high school “Mihai Eminescu”. The flames destroyed goods inside the room and about 20 square meters of roof. The cause of fire is being established.
From March 31, the Firefighting Service will check all the churches in Moldova and take additional measures to prevent fires on the paschal holidays, when the churches are overcrowded.
