Taking into account the current state of sports in Moldova, these medals are a great achievement for the country. Moreover, the last medal Moldova won in this field was at the 1992 Olympics. Thus, after 10 years, the Moldovan athletes managed to bring our country two medals”, declared Tudor Casapu. The head of the Weightlifting Federation said that we should be proud that the Moldovan flag was raised twice at the Olympic Games in London. Moldova ranked 75th out of 204 participant countries.
