A man and his son died in a road accident that happened on the Balatina-Lipovat road on May 27, Info-Prim Neo reports. The two were traveling in a cart together with the man’s eldest daughter. On a section of the road with poor visibility, the cart was struck by a speeding car driven by a man aged 25. The 55-year-old cart driver from Balatina, Glodeni, died on the spot, while his nine-year-old son was rushed to the hospital, but could not be saved. According to the head of the reanimatology section of the Glodeni hospital Vitalie Crusevan, the child died because of internal organ damage. The man’s daughter aged 20 is in a critical, but stable condition. The case is examined by the Glodeni District Police Commissariat.
