Two managers of an international passenger carrier will stand trial on charges of arson. They are accused of setting fire to buses that belonged to an opponent company based in Ceadâr-Lunga. The Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases completed the investigation and sent the case to court, IPN reports.
The two men, aged 35 and 39, acted in collusion with two former police officers and a civilian, who set fire to six buses owned by the rival company and committed an act of hooliganism. They face six years in jail for their acts. The caused damage was assessed at over 2.9 million lei.
A year ago, the other three members of the criminal group were remanded in custody. The organizers of the arson were placed under judicial control. The two managed the transport companies “Ednateric Trans” and SRL “Transeric Tur”, while the damaged buses belonged to the transport operator “Sarvalteh Auto”.
