President Maia Sandu conferred awards on the occasion of the National Day of Culture, IPN reports.
For prodigious work in the field of culture, substantial contribution to promoting the spiritual values of the nation, remarkable successes in creative activity, high professional mastery, the honorific title “People’s Artist” was awarded to: actors of “Mihai Eminescu” National Theatre Constantin Adam and Ion Mocanu; composer and instrumentalist Valentin Boghean; actress of “A.P. Chekhov” Russian State Drama Theatre Liudmila Colohina; actor of “Eugene Ionesco” National Theatre Valeriu Pahomi.
The title “Master of Arts” was awarded to pop music singer Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici; violist of the National Chamber Orchestra Veaceslav Boghean; violinist of the National Chamber Orchestra Olga Borisov; film director Ion Borș; clarinetist of “Maria Bieșu” National Opera House Andrei Jitariuc; pop music singer Cătălin Josan; pianist of Concertino Accordion Band of “Sergey Lunkevich” National Philharmonic Marc Oselschi; pop music singer Pavel Parfeni; National Chamber Orchestra cellist Igor Stahi; habilitated doctor, art historian and critic of the Institute of Cultural Heritage Tudor Stavila; violinist of the National Chamber Orchestra Radu Tălămbuță.
The honorific title “Merited Artist” was awarded to actors of “Luceafărul” National Theater, soloists-vocalists of the National Opera House Maria Bieșu”, actors of “Mihai Eminescu” National Theatre.
In appreciation of the special merits in safeguarding the national cultural heritage, for contributing to the valorization and promotion of authentic musical folklore, the Ethno-Folk Ensemble PLĂIESII was conferred the honorific title “Honored Artistic Group”.
