CC judge Eduard Ababei died

The judge of the Constitutional Court Eduard Ababei died at the age of 52. His mates from the Court said he was a dedicated colleague and a professional jurist with a rich experience and a real fighter, IPN reports.

“Eduard Ababei will remain in the memory of his colleagues owing to his enviable calmness when debating draft decisions and judgments, his gestures showing he was a calm man, his replies showing a sharp sense of humor, and also owing to his capacity to make friends during a short period of time, in a world that is progressively hurried and more reserved and lacks receptivity” says the CC’s message.

Eduard Ababei was born on May 2, 1968. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the State University of Moldova (1993), being a doctor of law. He later taught at this Faculty. In 2013-2016, he headed the National Institute of Justice. He was named judge of the Constitutional Court in July 2019.
