Charm and creation transposed at “Eminescian Horizon” exhibition

An exhibition focusing on the inner universe of Mihai Eminescu was opened at the Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi” before the birthday of the great poet and on the occasion of 160 years of his birth. The fourth exhibition includes decorative works and glass and clay objects, Info-Prim Neo reports. The exhibits were made by about 60 plastic artists from six countries, counting Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Russia and Poland. A particularity of this year's exhibition is the engraving made by painter Aurel David in 1965. “Everyone knows the work, but it has not been exhibited,” said Tudor Braga, the director of the Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi”. Painter Andrei Mudrea said it was an exceptional exhibition that included special works. “The works presented here reflect Eminescu's creation. It is like a homage rendered to Eminescu. Eminescu's works inspire the people and make them love the beautiful.” Ghenadie Jalba, the president of the Union of Plastic Artists of Moldova, said the exhibit represents a gesture of the plastic artists' gratitude to Eminescu.”The artists did not present illustrations or portraits of Eminescu. This is a free exhibition and this is interesting because the artists brought what they considered more important. There was a thematic exhibition on Eminescu, but it was poor,” he said. The exhibition will continue until January 31 inclusive.
