Three young men were killed and another three seriously injured in a traffic accident on April 12 in the evening. The cars in which the young people were traveling collided head-on. One day earlier, a child younger than two was struck fatally by a truck driven by his father. Paulina Iakimovski, of the Traffic Police Division's PR department, told Info-Prim Neo that a ZIL truck driven by a 39-year-old man from Bobletici village of Sangerei district was going out of the yard. The driver did not see his son aged 1 year and seven month and crushed him. The boy died on the way to hospital. A VAZ-2106 driven by a man aged 28 made a U-turn and collided head-on with a VAZ-2104 driven by a 27-year-old man near Gordinestii-Vechi village. Three men were killed and another three injured in the accident. Those injured were rushed to the Edinet district hospital. An inebriated motorcyclist aged 22 crashed his vehicle into an Audi A-4 driven by a 24-year-old woman near Grigorievca village of Causeni district. The motorcyclist suffered a concussion, contusion of the thorax and facial injuries. A 17-year-old girl from Sculeni village of Ungheni district was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that he received when his motorbike crashed into a VAZ-2109. Three persons were killed and nine hurt in seven road accidents in Moldova on Monday, April 12. Seventy-two persons lost their lives in 544 accidents this year. 701 persons were injured.
