Two children were hit by a car while riding their bikes on the roadside. One of them died and the other was hospitalized. Iurie Croitoru, criminal investigation officer of the Orhei Police Commissariat, told Info-Prim Neo that the accident took place last evening, on August 6, on the road R-20 Rezina-Orhei-Calarasi, near Lucaseuca village in Orhei. The two children were riding their bicycles on the roadside and were hit laterally by a car driven by a 30-year-old man. The impact was deadly for the 11 year old. The child died instantly because of suffered injuries. His 9 year old friend was taken to the hospital with various bodily wounds. Vasile Scripnic, mayor of Seliste commune, which includes Lucaseuca village, told Info-Prim Neo that the two boys were returning home after bathing. The mayor said that authorities would provide all the necessary help for the victim’s family. The deceased boy was his parents’ only child.
