Chisinau City Court annuls report by which Vlad Biletski was fined

The police contravention report by which the leader of the Association “UNIREA-ODIP” Vlad Biletski was fined 22,500 lei for welcoming the Romanian assistance this May was annulled by the Chisinau City Court for the reason that elements of a contravention were absent, IPN reports.

The decision can be challenged in the Appeals Court through the Chisinau City Court within 15 days.

According to Vlad Biletski, the case is an insult to Romania and an attempt to undermine the Romanian current and movement in the Republic of Moldova. “They tried to intimidate and punish people who came to thank and welcome Romania’s support for the Republic of Moldova. Dodon’s regime tried to desperately discourage any form of manifestation of Romanian solidarity. For this reason, Romania’s humanitarian convoy consisting of 20 trucks with assistance was met not in the Great National Assembly Square, but under the bridge in Telecentru,” he stated after the judgment was passed.

Vlad Biletski got a contravention report after taking part in the ceremony to meet the convoy consisting of 20 trucks sent by Romania to Moldova to help contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
