The family of the Moldovan student who was killed in a dorm in Iasi will receive financial support from the Chisinau City Hall. The size of the assistance hasn’t been yet set, but it could be about 20,000 lei, according to the mayor, IPN reports.

“If all the necessary documents are ready, send them to me for signing. We should help the family to cover at least a part of the costs it incurred,” stated Dorin Chirtoaca.

The Moldovan student was killed in a dorm of the Iasi University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” a week ago. It is alleged that he was stabbed to death by a roommate who robbed him.
