The tenth National Volunteer Week will take place in Chisinau on October 17-23. During a week, the public authorities, public institutions, civil society organizations and initiative groups will stage awareness-raising campaigns and debates on volunteering, charity and cleanup events, IPN reports.

According to the organizers, the National Volunteer Week is an annual national event held to promote volunteering, which mobilizes the largest number of organizations and citizens, and to civically engage the communities.

The event is organized by the Coalition for the Promotion of Law and Volunteering Activities and is supported by the project “NVW 2016 – Join in the Volunteers” that forms part of the 2016 Grants Program of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Moldova.
