The Chisinau City Hall will allocate plots of land to the universities working in Chisinau on which to build blocks of apartments for lecturers, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the City Hall's Public Relations Division. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the General Division of Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations to identify the given plots by January 15, 2010 and submit a draft decision on the allocation of land to higher education establishments to the Chisinau Municipal Council for examination. According to Dorin Chirtoaca, the move is aimed at stimulating the university teachers and helping them solve the dwelling problem, which is faced mainly by the young teachers.
