Citizens’ access to Chisinau City Hall restricted

The municipal authorities of Chisinau said the City Hall will work primarily online and the people’s access to the institution will be restricted. The decision was taken after a number of employees were confirmed with COVID-19, IPN reports.

In the March 15 meeting of officials of municipal services, the head of the Social Assistance and Health Division Tatiana Bucharski said that almost 90,000 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the municipality of Chisinau so far. As many as 1,665 beds and 200 triage beds for patients with COVID-19 are now available at medical institutions. A number of 1,454 infected persons were in municipal hospitals on March 14. Some 41.1% of the medical personnel have been vaccinated.

Given the worsening of the pandemic situation in the city, Mayor General Ion Ceban requested the police to more intensely inspect the nightclubs that should be now closed and to fine those who do not obey the restrictions.
