Citizens of 53 states will self-isolate after entering Moldova

The citizens of 53 states and the Moldovans who enter the Republic of Moldova will have to self-isolate for 14 days. Those who come from other states than those put on the list will be exempted from self-isolation. The “red” list of countries was compiled by the Ministry of Health and was published on August 28, IPN reports.

The persons who come from such countries as Romania, Ukraine, the U.S., Spain, France, Israel and others will have to self-isolate.

The list will be updated once in 14 days on Friday and will take effect on the Monday of next week.

The countries will be included in the list based on the number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people. The indicator should not be higher than 50.

Currently, the 14 day self-isolation regime is mandatory for all those who enter Moldova. The obligation will be excluded on September 1 for Moldovans and foreign citizens who come from countries of so-called “green areas”.
