The Civil Aviation Authority of Moldova will soon issue a directive by which it will oblige the carriers transporting passengers to swiftly revise their flight deck policy so that two crew members will have to be in the cockpit at all times, IPN reports, quoting the authority’s website.
Such a recommendation was made by the European Aviation Safety Agency following the downing of the Germanwings flight in France on March 25, which resulted in 150 deaths.
A number of airlines in Canada, the United States and Austria already announced the introduction of such a measure. The German Aviation Association also informed that it intends to impose such a rule.
