The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) lengthened the list of compensated drugs by nine international nonproprietary names, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the company.
The list now includes three groups of international nonproprietary names for treating cardiovascular diseases, which will be compensated partially. These are: metoprololum, clopidogrelum, and simvastatinum.
There was also included acidum ursodeoxycholicum that is used to treat digestive system diseases, tobramycinum for mucoviscidosis and interferonum-β-1a for multiple sclerosis.
The list also contains the drugs for ophthalmological diseases travoprostum+timololum and the drugs for mental disorders haloperidolum and levomepromazinum.
The medicines are available from all the drugstores that signed contracts with the CNAM, based on prescriptions from the family doctor or from the specialized local or national commissions.
Currently, the CNAM compensates (covers the price of) 87 international nonproprietary names of drugs.
The list was extended by a common order of the Ministry of Health and the CNAM.
