The College of Arts in Soroca will be named after maestro Nicolae Botgros, People's Artist, knight of the Order of the Republic, conductor of the Folk Music Orchestra “Lautarii”, IPN reports.

According to a info note of the government decision, the Soroca College educated many personalities who became masters of art, promoting Moldovan cultural values. The most famous of them is Nicolae Botgros, whose work is writing golden pages in the history of national culture, carrying the fame of Moldovan folk music in tens of European countries.
