College of doctors to examine state of presidential candidates’ health

Liberal-Democrat MP Tudor Deliu, chairman of the special commission for the supervision of the presidential elections, will file a letter in the commission’s name to the Ministry of Health, asking choosing the medical experts who will examine the state of health of the candidates for the presidency, Info-Prim Neo reports. Communist lawmaker Zinaida Chistruga, who forms part of the commission, proposed that all the candidates should provide medical certificates about both their physical health and mental health. The members of the commission decided that the state of the presidential candidates’ health will be examined by a college of doctors that will be set up by the Ministry of Health. The special commission for the supervision of the presidential elections consists of nine MPs. Four of them represent the Communist Party, three - the Liberal-Democratic Party, while by one – the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party.
