Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița will chair the meeting of the Commission for Exceptional Situations that was set to begin at 3pm. The Cabinet will have a meeting starting at 4pm. This will not be broadcast live, IPN reports, quoting a press release.

Beginning at 4:30pm, Premier Natalia Gavrilița and Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, will answer journalists’ questions.

The press will have access only to the news conference.

After the meeting of the Supreme Security Council earlier today, President Maia Sandu announced that the Government will request Parliament to declare a state of emergency.
