The victims of political repression will receive compensation for the property that was confiscated, nationalized or taken from them other ways, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.

The compensation will be paid from the state budget based on applications, by transferring money to the budgets of the territorial-administrative authorities of the second level.

This year there will be transferred 2 266 554 lei intended for the Chisinau Municipal Council and the district councils of Falesti, Rascani and Taraclia.

If the value of the property does not exceed 200 000 lei, the payment of compensations will be spread out over a period of up to three years. If it’s higher, the period will be up to five years.
