The Parliamentary Committee for Economy, Budget, and Finance has announced a competition to select a new General Director for the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), IPN reports.
The candidate must be a Moldovan citizen with a higher education degree in technical, economic, financial, or legal fields, and at least 10 years of work and/or research experience in these areas. Additionally, the applicant must have a minimum of three years of leadership experience in public institutions, civil society/international organizations, or enterprises operating in sectors regulated by ANRE.
Applicants must also possess an impeccable reputation, not be a member of any political party at the time of application, and have full legal capacity. Proficiency in Romanian and English is mandatory.
Applications should be submitted to the Parliamentary Committee for Economy, Budget, and Finance (at the Parliament’s headquarters) or via email at ceb@parlament.md , by January 17, inclusive.
According to the Energy Law, ANRE is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of five members. The members are appointed by Parliament through a competitive selection process for a six-year term. The current General Director, Veaceslav Untila, will see his mandate expire in February 2025.
