Thus, the program will be accessible to freelancers, lawyers, bailiffs, mediators, taxi drivers, artists. The maximum value of homes that can be purchased was raised from 1 million lei to 2.5 million lei. The maximum loan repayment period was increased from 25 to 30 years.
The guarantee rate for loans requested for housing outside Chisinau municipality will grow from 50% to 65% or 70%, depending on the locality, thus facilitating access to decent housing for families from rural areas.
Also, those who are already beneficiaries of the program will be able to change their lending bank and negotiate more advantageous conditions. People who have a home of up to 50 square meters will be able to participate repeatedly in the program in order to purchase a larger home.
The amendments also simplify a series of procedures. It will no longer be necessary to present the certificates issued by the Public Services Agency regarding the owned homes. The mortgaging of homes in favor of the state and, respectively, the need to conclude trilateral mortgage contracts will be excluded.
