The 124th contemporary art exhibition “Spring Far” is held at the Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi” in Chisinau between March 20 and April 6. Most of the authors who exhibited works there are young people, IPN reports.
This cultural event takes place every year. In the opening, Tudor Braga, art critic and one of the organizers of the event, said more exhibits this year belong to young artists than to artists with professional experience.
The context-exhibition brought together 162 works made by 118 authors.
“As a general impression, we can see that the spring entered this room. The paintings are very beautiful. Some of them represent spring, while others have other themes. I got many mental pictures. I was impressed by this exhibition,” said Nichita Danilov, vice director of the Chisinau Cultural Romanian Institute.
“I’m glad that a large part of the exhibits were made by young people. The exhibition became more interesting, with more professional exhibits. I would like our young people to be more active and to take part in other exhibitions,” said Emeritus Plastic Artist Eleonora Romanescu.
This year’s “Spring Fair” is more modern, as visitors said. “The time of realism passed and the exhibitions are now modern. In fact, the abstract paintings are above modernism. I think the viewers will be satisfied,” said plastic artist Gheorghe Oprea.
