Contest for Romanians everywhere opened
The Department for Romanians Everywhere has announced a contest of videos and multimedia applications themed “Why I Love Romania”. It is open to young ethic Romanians from abroad aged between 14 and 21. The deadline for applications is July 8, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Romanian Embassy.
The videos and multimedia applications must be maximum 3 minutes long, in the format mpeg, avi, divx, mov or wma.
The persons who want to take part in the contest can set up a team of maximum three members to make a video and give a short description.
The winners will take part in a summer school themed “Romanian Communities and European Identity” that will be held in the Danube Delta between August 16 and 22. They will also be able to visit the most important sights in Romania.
The videos and multimedia applications should be sent to comunicare@dprp.gov.ro. The projects will be assessed by a jury composed of representatives of the Department for Romanians Everywhere, the Romanian Cultural Institute and the TV channel TVR. The results will be published on the website www.dprp.gov.ro on July 15.
The participation costs will be covered by the Department for Romanians Everywhere and the National Authority for Sport and Youth of Romania.
